London - places to see?

Wed Oct 29, 2008, 8:12 AM
  • Mood: Anxious
  • Listening to: tv
  • Playing: Persona 3 FES
  • Eating: anything that gets on my way
I'm going to London tomorrow for a few days to see some relatives.
Can anyone recommend any cool places and/or shops to visit? Besides the "obvious" sight-sees.
So far I'm only planning to go to Warner Bros Studio Store, if it still exists (it's been 9 years, since I've been there).

Hopefully it being Halloween isn't going to fuck up my trip.

There's a restaurant called Sorastro's; if you get the chance you should absolutely go.

When I went to London, I ate there with a friend for dinner; we paid 20 pounds for a four-course meal, and entertainment by a string quartet, and then two singers from the Royal Opera performed. It was AMAZING! The place is decked out like the inside of a Gypsy encampment or something; absolutely beautiful.
:iconwickedsick:
Oh, and I feel obligated to mention that the Opera singers didn't just sing opera; they sand all sorts of stuff, including jazz.

Ooh, London. <3 I love that city so much. So, so much.

I recommend going to Bank, the area where the London Eye is - not just to see that, of course, but for the houses next to it. There's the Dali gallery, Manga Cafe and the Namco Station - a massive arcade centre with three stories. :3 There's all sorts of stuff to be discovered along there.

Can you remember on what street the restaurant was on?
:iconwickedsick:
Drury Lane; its on a corner, but I don't know what the other street was. I do remember that its not terribly far from Covent Gardens.
