As nonsensical as it may sound, I motivate myself pretty well. Whenever I have a decent idea for a comic or illustration in my head, I can't wait to get it out on paper. So most of the time it's just random chance...

Well... me drawing comics is kind of a natural occurance

But, to be honest, I love the concept of creating a character and giving them a story and how they interact with each other.
Also, my characters Elijah, MJ, Jean-Paul, Jordan and Eli has been with me for eight/nine years now, so I've always loved them, and my new set of characters, including my alias, Lady Fenyx, are all based on people I know...

So I guess I just draw inspiration from people around me... also, like gangsta said above here... once you get an idea in your head, you can't wait to draw it....

Some, if not most of my ideas I get from real life events, but sometimes I can ass myself to do some brainstorming to come up with stuff. On the other hand I hate the latter method: I never get inspired like that. That's pretty much why I never finish any big-ass projects

pretty much TV and music inspires my crazy ass. can't live with them or with out them.... just felt like saying that. aaaaaaah homosexual poses.... but yeah, the DA first page thang pisses lots people off. it's like a common thing to see them up there since people fav them and kiss the grown they walk on. but yesh, don't kill em..... we all should come to realize that DA showcases the fanime and stuff from pop culture.

My comic teacher gave us summer homework to keep drawing comic journal every day, no matter how crappy work, just keep on doing one page every day.

I bet you had this homework too sometime ago? To me, it works, drawing becomes less of a chore and more of a routine.
